I like to create theme-based change timelines so people can wrap their minds around different types of thoughts during different months or seasons.
For instance, Nov-Dec, usually includes making a lot of lists and deciding what to keep and what to give away along with making plans to connect with people.
In this case, a large content audit, migration, and publishing activity would be taking place over six months so I characterized the types of work in advance to line up with future timelines to get people in the right frame of mind for each task and with enough advance notice to plan accordingly. This way there are manageable steps and regular follow ups to make sure everyone is on track with less stress and last minute deadlines.
